The former seven-time SmackDown and six-time RAW Women's Champion has been away from WWE TV for nearly a year due to injury. A recent report has provided a significant update regarding the star's return to the ring.

On the December 8, 2023, episode of SmackDown, Charlotte Flair suffered a career-threatening ACL injury during a match against Asuka. The injury necessitated surgery, and The Queen has been sidelined from in-ring competition ever since.

Recently, the 14-time Women's World Champion was seen back at the WWE Performance Center training with NXT Superstar Lainey Reid. According to PWInsider, Charlotte Flair is on the cusp of officially returning to the ring.

Wrestling analyst says Charlotte Flair will have a major WWE match upon her potential return

The Queen put her SmackDown Women's Title against Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania 39. Mami won the 2023 Women's Royal Rumble Match to challenge Flair for the championship. In the end, Ripley dethroned the 38-year-old female star in a hard-fought battle to win the World Title.

Meanwhile, WWE is gearing up for the premiere of RAW on Netflix on January 6, 2025. Following that, the premium live events leading up to WrestleMania 41 are the Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber.

On his Cheap Heat podcast, Peter Rosenberg predicted that Charlotte Flair would return at the 2025 Women's Royal Rumble. The analyst also anticipated that the former seven-time SmackDown and six-time RAW Women's Champion would not be a surprise due to potential prior appearances.

"I guess [it will be Flair]. But Charlotte's gonna be back before that, I bet, so it wouldn't be like a surprise return," Rosenberg said.

It has been over a year since The Queen held a championship in WWE. The primary reason for this is Flair's prolonged absence due to injury.

Only time will tell if the 14-time World Champion will make a triumphant return for the debut of RAW on Netflix and make a strong statement ahead of WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas.
