The latest edition of WWE RAW dropped a cryptic vignette, seemingly teasing the arrival of Triple H's next big signing on the red brand's Netflix premiere. Now, a report has shed light on who the star could be.
According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, belief backstage in WWE is that the mysterious video was for former AEW World Tag Team Champion Penta. The 39-year-old star's contract with the Jacksonville-based promotion came to an end recently.
Penta joined All Elite Wrestling back in 2019, and he, along with his brother, Rey Fenix, won the tag team titles on one occasion. They also aligned with PAC to become AEW World Trios Champions once.
Penta's departure from All Elite Wrestling was not without issues, and Fenix is still signed with the promotion after Tony Khan decided to add injury time to his contract amid rumors of the duo's move to WWE. However, it is very likely that Rey Fenix will eventually join the Stamford-based promotion.
The graphic on Monday Night RAW showed the number zero with a slash, a possible reference to Penta's "Zero Miedo" slogan, indicating that the former AEW star will be retaining his original gimmick. It remains to be seen how Triple H books Penta upon his debut.
