Major heel turn expected; huge matches planned for WWE WrestleMania 41 - Reports

WWE reportedly has some big plans on the road to WrestleMania 41 next year in Las Vegas, Nevada. The promotion is currently building towards WWE Money in the Bank 2024 on July 6 in Toronto.

Damian Priest will be defending his World Heavyweight Championship against Seth Rollins at WWE Money in the Bank next weekend. The Archer of Infamy was forced to miss this past Friday's episode of SmackDown in Madison Square Garden due to travel issues. According to a new report from Xero News, Seth Rollins is going to be turning heel soon.

The report also claimed that WWE has two major matches planned for WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas. Xero News stated Seth Rollins and CM Punk are scheduled to battle during Night 1 of The Show of Shows next year. Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes is rumored to be facing The Rock and Roman Reigns during Night 2.

Seth Rollins missed a couple of months of action with a torn meniscus following WrestleMania XL in April. He returned earlier this month and will challenge Damian Priest for his World Heavyweight Championship at the premium live event next weekend.

If Damian Priest loses the match, the veteran will be forced to leave The Judgment Day. However, Seth Rollins can never challenge for the title again as long as Priest is the champion if he comes up short at Money in the Bank.

Former WWE writer criticizes Seth Rollins' character

Wrestling veteran Vince Russo has disclosed that he still does not understand Seth Rollins' character on RAW.

Speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling's Legion of RAW show, Russo noted that he does not know what The Visionary's character is. He stated he is aware the fans sing his theme song, but he doesn't understand the former champion's gimmick.

"He comes out, they're singing the song and I'm asking myself this while I'm watching the television. And I'm still asking myself this question, 'What is Seth Rollins' character?' I still don't know what his (...) I know they sing to his song. I don't know what his character is, bro." (49:29 - 49:52)

The Rock has not appeared since warning Cody Rhodes on the RAW after WrestleMania XL that he would be coming after him. It will be interesting to see what Triple H and the promotion have planned for The Final Boss when he returns.
