Major name expected to make WWE debut soon - Reports

WWE came out of WrestleMania XL Week with massive momentum. The company is now preparing for the 2024 Draft and the first PLE in France, and word has just leaked on a major debut set to take place.

The Bloodline is currently undergoing major changes following Roman Reigns' loss to Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 40. It was revealed earlier this month that World Wrestling Entertainment had signed Jacob Fatu, and he was backstage at the big event. The former MLW World Heavyweight Champion is the nephew and adopted son of Haku, the older half-brother to Hikuleo, Tama Tonga's cousin and adoptive brother, and Bad Luck Fale's cousin.

Fatu was rumored to debut during WrestleMania Week, but that obviously did not happen. However, a new report from PWInsider reveals that Fatu is expected to debut on TV within the next week. The 32-year-old star is set to bypass NXT.

Sources from the WWE creative team indicate that Fatu could debut as soon as Friday's SmackDown in Cincinnati, which is Night One of the 2024 Draft. It was also noted that Fatu will be a regular on the main roster moving forward.

Officials previously discussed a tag team made up of Fatu and Tama Tonga, who debuted two weeks ago on SmackDown. The idea is that Fatu and Tonga would make a good team because their fathers, Sam Fatu (aka The Tonga Kid) and Haku (aka Meng), teamed up in the 1980s as WWE tag team The Islanders.

Jacob Fatu has reportedly signed with WWE, and is set to join The Bloodline's storyline in the near future.

Fatu has been wrestling since 2012. The 32-year-old was trained by his uncle Rikishi after being inspired to wrestle while sitting in jail and watching his cousins, The Usos, on TV. The legendary Jim Ross recently discussed Fatu's signing on his Grilling JR podcast.

"Good signing. Not surprising after WrestleMania, I'm sure they'll have more signings. Tony Khan's doing a great job at signing new talent, quality talent. It's just that time of year... rosters move, they change, they're amended, hence the WWE Draft, hence more signings, new marriages, and so forth. So, that's not surprising to me... that's just kind of the tradition in the pro wrestling business. Fatu is a one-time MLW World Heavyweight Champion and a one-time MLW National Openweight Champion. He's also held the HOG World Heavyweight Championship, the WCPW Heavyweight Championship, and several additional indie titles.
