A major name outside of WWE is rumored to be appearing on tonight's edition of SmackDown. This week's show will air live from the CHI Health Center in Omaha, Nebraska.
Cody Rhodes is slated to kick off tonight's edition of WWE SmackDown and a former Universal Champion is also rumored to return. There will be a Contract Signing between Logan Paul and LA Knight for their United States Championship match at SummerSlam during tonight's show as well.
According to a new report from WrestleVotes on X, undefeated boxer Terence Crawford will be making an appearance tonight in his hometown on SmackDown and will be involved in a segment with Cody Rhodes.
It was also noted in the report that Tiffany Stratton will be debuting some kind of music video tonight on SmackDown. The 25-year-old won the Women's Money in the Bank Ladder Match earlier this month.
Dutch Mantell criticizes Cody Rhodes' appearance on WWE SmackDown
Former WWE manager Dutch Mantell is not convinced Cody Rhodes is a tough guy on SmackDown and suggested he make some changes.
Speaking on last week's episode of Sportskeeda Wrestling's Smack Talk, Mantell noted that The American Nightmare is over with wrestling fans and sells a ton of merchandise. However, the legend stated that he isn't convinced that Rhodes is tough because of the way he dresses, and he usually has a smile on his face.
"Cody's over. His merchandise is selling. I'm still not sold on him. The way he goes to the ring, he's impeccably dressed. But he doesn't look like a bada*s. He's smiling a little bit and you know he's doing that all for the camera. That's all fine and good. But the belief is he's supposed to go in there against a monster and I think I would be looking just a little bit differently if I was going in there against a guy like Fatu." [From 09:02 to 09:38]
