The inaugural WWE King and Queen of the Ring PLE will take place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, later this month. In addition to the crowning of the 23rd King of the Ring and the 2nd Queen of the Ring, the event will feature several title matches, including a Champion vs. Champion match with Cody Rhodes and Logan Paul.
It was previously indicated that the WWE Championship and the United States Championship will be on the line in the Rhodes vs. Paul match. While the Winner Takes All stipulation was not officially announced, The American Nightmare himself seemingly confirmed that both titles will be on the line. However, new spoiler details have just been revealed ahead of tonight's SmackDown.
Rhodes and The Ultimate Influencer will be on tonight's SmackDown for a contract signing to make the Champion vs. Champion match official. A new report from WrestleVotes notes that only the WWE Championship will be on the line. Paul will apparently pull some strings on tonight's show to make that happen, but details on the actual angle were not disclosed.
In other spoiler notes for tonight's SmackDown, it was said that Randy Orton will "vow war against" The Bloodline.
The company previously announced the following KOTR and QOTR quarterfinal matches for tonight: Orton vs. Carmelo Hayes, LA Knight vs. Tama Tonga, Jade Cargill vs. Nia Jax, and Tiffany Stratton vs. Bianca Belair.
