Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins (The Street Profits) challenged Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin for the titles on the November 15 edition of SmackDown. However, #DIY's Tommaso Ciampa interfered in the match, causing it to end in a no-contest. B-Fab recently thanked Shelley and Sabin for giving The Street Profits another shot at the titles following Ciampa's interference.

Former WWE manager on what is holding The Motor City Machine Guns back in the company

Wrestling legend Dutch Mantell recently shared what he believes is holding The Motor City Machine Guns back in the promotion.

Speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling's Smack Talk show, Mantell noted that the champions were a very talented tag team. However, the veteran noted that while Alex Shelley is very entertaining at promos, Sabin struggles with them. Mantell suggested that Shelley should serve as the mouthpiece for the team moving forward.

"They are a very talented tag team," Mantell said. "The only thing I think holding them back is Alex is very, very entertaining. Chris Sabin, he's not as entertaining. In the work-rate he is, but in the interview style Alex is their mouthpiece. So, I think if they stay with that, we'll see where it leads." [2:02 – 2:36]
