There has been an update on Baron Corbin's potential next location following his WWE departure last year. The Lone Wolf's contract expired ahead of WWE Crown Jewel 2024, and he is no longer with the promotion.
According to a new report from Fightful Select, the former Money in the Bank winner has been in conversations with New Japan Pro-Wrestling. The report noted that the two sides had been in contact, but there's currently no word on how in-depth the conversations were. Corbin was recently backstage at AEW Worlds End 2024, where he visited friends.
Corbin spent 12 years in the promotion and is a former United States Champion. The veteran spent some time in NXT before being called back up to the main roster last year on SmackDown. He was briefly in a tag team with Apollo Crews before departing the company.
Baron Corbin claims his daughter will be a WWE Superstar someday
Former WWE star Baron Corbin recently predicted that his daughter would wind up in the company down the line.
In an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda Wrestling's Bill Apter last year, the 40-year-old was asked to reveal something that people didn't know about him. The former champion noted that many fans were unaware he was a father and then made a bold claim about his daughter. Baron Corbin stated that his daughter was out of her mind and was already hitting dropkicks off the couch.
"It's funny, a lot of people never realize I have kids, which I think is something people don't know. I have two daughters. One of them, she's five and she's absolutely gonna be a WWE Superstar. She's out of her mind and she's already throwing dropkicks off the couch, so maybe that's something a lot of people don't know about me," he said. [3:54 – 4:10]
