There has been an update about Becky Lynch's potential return to WWE. The veteran has not competed in a match since her loss to Liv Morgan in a Steel Cage Match on the May 27 episode of WWE RAW.
Lynch was rumored to return to the company ahead of RAW's debut on Netflix on January 6. According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, sources within the company said they had no idea where those rumors originated. It was also noted that both sides believe they will be working with each other again and Sapp added that it wouldn't surprise him to see The Man appear on the show in January.
Lynch had a brief run as Women's World Champion after Rhea Ripley was forced to relinquish the title due to injury following WrestleMania XL. Liv Morgan defeated the veteran at King and Queen of the Ring to capture the title and is still the reigning champion on RAW.

Former WWE writer comments on Becky Lynch's potential return to the company
Wrestling veteran Vince Russo recently discussed Becky Lynch's potential return to the promotion and noted that she doesn't need the money.
Speaking on The Coach & Bro Show, available exclusively via Backstage Pass, Russo stated that Seth Rollins is making a ton of money, and Becky Lynch doesn't need to rush back to the company. He suggested she hold out on returning until she gets what she wants in her WWE contract.
"With her husband bringing home millions and millions of dollars, if Becky Lynch isn't one of these marks that are in the ring and she's gotta get back just for the sake of wrestling because they love wrestling so much and they love that limelight so much. If she's not one of those people, she's got them. She doesn't need the money, she enjoys being at home. She's gonna hold out till she gets what she wants." [From 27:30 onwards]
Becky Lynch's contract with the company reportedly expired earlier this year. It will be interesting to see when the 37-year-old returns to WWE television.
