There has been an update with regards to Joe Hendry and his rumored appearance on WWE television. Joe Hendry has become quite popular after his entrance music has turned into a smash hit amongst fans around the world.

According to a report from Fightful Select, Joe Hendry's name has indeed been discussed for tonight's Battle Royal on WWE NXT but the publication was unable to confirm if the TNA star would be in the match. The report noted that Vic Joseph and Brooks Jensen's references to Hendry were by design and not improvised by the talent. It also added that Hendry has admirers in WWE for his charisma and comedy skills.

A source told Fightful it would represent an error in judgment if Hendry were not to appear during the TNA and NXT crossover that is currently taking place. The report also suggested that the crossover between the two promotions is just getting started.

WWE star shares that he believes in Joe Hendry

WWE RAW star Drew McIntyre recently shared that he believed in Joe Hendry and was proud of his success.

The Scottish Warrior had the chance to become the World Heavyweight Champion this past Saturday night but it was ripped away from him. He connected with the Claymore on Damian Priest and had the match won at WWE Clash at the Castle: Scotland but the referee had been taken out just prior to that. CM Punk showed up in a referee shirt but refused to count to three. Priest was then able to capitalize on the distraction and defeated McIntyre to retain his title.

Speaking with Cultaholic in a recent interview, McIntyre was asked if he believed in Joe Hendry. McIntyre admitted that he did and praised the 36-year-old star. He noted that he couldn't help but laugh when he parodied Eiffel 65's I'm Blue song back in the day to poke fun at him during their time in Insane Championship Wrestling.

"I do believe in Joe Hendry. I do, he's doing awesome. Very proud of him, especially getting his song so high up in the charts and causing as much buzz as he's caused. He's deserved a big opportunity for a long time and thankfully, he's been able to showcase himself on IMPACT. I'm sure he's just going to keep going up and going up. The sky is the limit, he can do it all," said McIntyre. [From 00:06 - 00:27]

Joe Hendry reacted to Drew McIntyre's kind words and said the veteran had no idea how much it meant to him. Only time will tell if Hendry gets the opportunity to appear on WWE television.
