Major update on Natalya's WWE contract status - Reports

There has been an update on Natalya's contract status with WWE. The veteran has not competed in a match on WWE RAW since her loss to Kiana James on the June 3 edition of the red brand.

Natalya's contract with the promotion is reportedly set to expire soon. A recent report has revealed that the former champion has not reached a new deal with the company, and there has been another update today.

A fan on social media asked Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful if there were any updates on Natalya's contract expiring this month. Sapp responded to the fan and noted that her contract had not expired yet.

Natalya has been with WWE since 2007 and has had a remarkable tenure with the promotion. She has held the Divas and SmackDown Women's Championships on the main roster as a singles star. The veteran and Tamina also won the Women's Tag Team Championship together once as well.

Natalya shares how WWE SmackDown star earned her respect

WWE star Natalya has disclosed how former Women's Tag Team Champion Jade Cargill has earned her respect since joining the company.

Jade Cargill debuted for the promotion during the Kickoff Show for Fastlane last October. In an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda Wrestling's Emily Mae earlier this year, Natalya noted that Cargill kept training with her after her mother passed away, and her dedication to the craft earned her respect.

"Jade [Cargill] is gonna blow everybody away. I think she is really passionate about this. I think she is gonna be good, I think she is gonna be really good. What really impressed me with Jade is that when she approached me about coming to train with us in the dungeon, she had just lost her mom. And I just felt like that showed... She was going probably one of the most difficult things a person could go through, but she was still showing so much passion for this and wanting to do this, and so much focus and so much drive. Natalya has also made several appearances in WWE NXT in recent weeks. Only time will tell if the former champion signs a new deal with the promotion before her contract expires.
