A new report has shed light on WWE possibly announcing another new championship for the women's division. SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis recently unveiled a new Women's United States Championship.
WWE's current women's division has been thriving under Triple H's creative leadership. The company has some of the biggest names, including Rhea Ripley, Liv Morgan, Bayley, and Nia Jax, performing week in and week out at the highest level. Many fans wanted the Stamford-based promotion to introduce new 'mid-card' titles for the women, similar to what their male counterparts have.
It seems like the Triple H-led creative team listened to the fans and finally introduced the Women's United States Championship. However, since the promotion unveiled this title, many people have been wondering if WWE will announce a Women's Intercontinental Championship as well.
According to the latest report by Fightful Select, stars within the Stamford-based promotion have said that there were no backstage discussions about a Women's Intercontinental Championship.

Bill Apter believes Chelsea Green is not on the level to win a WWE title at the moment
Since WWE announced the Women's United States Championship, Chelsea Green has been vocal about winning the title, and many fans have backed her on social media as well. She even sent a message to Triple H on X/Twitter after the announcement.
However, during a recent edition of Sportskeeda Wrestling's SmackTalk, Bill Apter said that although Chelsea Green was in his top five choices for becoming the first-ever Women's United States Champion, he did not believe Green was at a level where the company would put a title on her.
Apter also mentioned that his preferred choices were either one of the current Women's Tag Team Champions Jade Cargill or Bianca Belair.
"She'd (Chelsea Green) probably be in my first five choices. I'm still gonna stick with Jade. It still could be Bianca." He continued, "I think Chelsea is great. She's terrific and all that. But I don't think she's at the level where they're gonna put a belt on her."
It will be interesting to see who will become the first-ever WWE Women's United States Champion.
