There has been an update in regards to the rumors of WWE potentially introducing two new titles to the company. The promotion held Money in the Bank 2024 last night in Toronto, Canada.

WWE's women's division does not have titles similar to the United States and the Intercontinental Championship to fight for. There have been rumors recently that the company could be getting set to introduce a Women's United States and Women's Intercontinental Championship soon.

However, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightul noted on X/Twitter today that he has spoken to sources in the promotion and they have not heard anything about new titles. Sapp added that the people he spoke with are hoping the rumors are true.

"Regarding WWE Women's IC & US Titles, talent we've spoken to haven't heard of it happening, but tell," Sapp wrote.

Bayley is the reigning WWE Women's Champion on SmackDown and Liv Morgan currently holds the Women's World Championship on RAW. Tiffany Stratton won the Women's Money in the Bank Ladder Match last night and now has a title shot at a time and place of her choosing.

WWE Women's Champion Bayley on the company introducing a new title

Bayley has shared her thoughts on the promotion potentially introducing midcard titles for the women's division.

In an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda Wrestling's Riju Dasgupta in 2022, The Role Model admitted that it would be nice to have another title in the division. The former leader of Damage CTRL added that it is going to take time and people have to fight for it to happen.

"I mean, it wouldn't hurt. It would be nice to have another title. I think it's just gonna take time. When we wanted those Women's Tag Team titles, it took a long time and it took someone actually fighting for them, so if that's what we want, someone has to stand up for it and really fight for it and prove that it's going to be a benefit for the division." There was not a women's title defended at Money in the Bank this year. It will be interesting to see if the rumors come true and if the promotion does introduce two new titles to the women's division down the line.
