WWE is getting closer to taking The Grandest Stage of Them All to the UK. There's been talk of London, England hosting WrestleMania for several years, but the chatter really picked up in the last year, and even more so this week. Now sources have revealed a significant update from behind-the-scenes.
World Wrestling Entertainment has held several UK-exclusive events since 1989, and more than a dozen pay-per-views since SummerSlam 1992. John Cena made a surprise appearance at Money in the Bank from London in 2023 and promised to help bring The Showcase of Immortals to The Square Mile. Triple H and Nick Khan then met with London Mayor Sadiq Khan this week and teased major developments to come.
Backstage sources have just revealed that the talks in London this week were productive, according to Fightful Select. However, it was reiterated from within the company that nothing was set in stone as of now, and officials were still open to talks with other city officials.
The Stamford-based promotion actually reached out to London officials after they publicly spoke about their desire to bring the biggest pro wrestling event to London. It was, in fact, the city officials, not WWE or its PR team, that purportedly reached out to multiple members of the media to announce that WWE's Chief Content Officer and President traveled to the city for WrestleMania talks.

When Cena made his surprise appearance last summer, there were no plans as of then to take WrestleMania to London. At that point, the London administration had not made the same commitments to the company to bring a show of that size in, as other city groups have. However, sources noted that the demand was immediately heard "loud and clear" after Cena's 2023 promo, and this likely encouraged officials to publicly show interest.
A future WrestleMania in Saudi Arabia is also a possibility. It seems that the Kingdom and London are two of the biggest locations to show interest publicly.
Confirmed and rumored WWE WrestleMania events
World Wrestling Entertainment is headed back to Sin City for WrestleMania 41. It was previously announced that WrestleMania Vegas will be held on April 19 and April 20, 2025, at Allegiant Stadium near Vegas.
The dates and location for WrestleMania 42 in 2026 have not been confirmed, but Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana has a future 'Mania locked in due to the recent deal with the Indiana Sports Corp. The deal could lead to a major new tradition for the WWE Universe.
In addition to London and Saudi Arabia being rumored for future WrestleMania events, another potential location is U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The City of Lakes was a front-runner for WrestleMania 41 in 2025 until they landed the two-night SummerSlam on August 1 and 2 next year.
