WWE Royal Rumble 2025 is scheduled for February 1 next year. While the Premium Live Event is still three months away, a new report has delivered an interesting update regarding the Rumble.
Triple H and the Stamford-based promotion’s management will be hosting the Royal Rumble at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. The venue will be able to house 65,000 members of the WWE Universe. According to a report by WrestleTix, the company has already sold 45,000 tickets for the show.
That makes up almost 70 percent of the total capacity of the arena ready to see the last wrestler standing in both the men’s and women’s divisions. Cody Rhodes, who has won the previous two iterations of the men’s Royal Rumble, will most likely be retaining his title until February, opening the doors for a new winner.
John Cena to win the WWE Royal Rumble 2025?
WWE Superstar John Cena will be on his retirement tour next year. The Face That Runs The Place is just one world title win short of surpassing Ric Flair to become the wrestler to hold the most world title wins at 17. The Stamford-based promotion has already advertised Cena’s appearance at the PLE.
So far, he has also won the Royal Rumble two times, and he could do it a third time to directly get a championship match. Aside from the Leader of the Cenation, his WrestleMania nemesis, The Rock, could also be part of the 30-man mayhem.
The Final Boss has an ongoing feud with Cody Rhodes. While he failed to protect the 1,316-day Undisputed Championship run of Roman Reigns at WrestleMania XL, The Brahma Bull made it clear that he has unfinished business with Rhodes.
Thus, fans could also witness The Rock win the Rumble in Indianapolis to dethrone The American Nightmare exactly a year after he finished his story. It would be interesting to see if this becomes a possibility and if the rivals face each other in Las Vegas at WrestleMania 41.
