The opening segment to tonight's edition of WWE RAW has potentially been revealed. Tonight's show will be the go-home edition of the red brand ahead of SummerSlam this Saturday night.
Last week on RAW, CM Punk announced that he was medically cleared to return to the ring. The 45-year-old suffered a torn triceps during the Men's Royal Rumble Match in January but will be in action this Saturday night against Drew McIntyre. Punk and The Scottish Warrior have been involved in a personal rivalry for months and they will finally be squaring off at SummerSlam on August 3.
Adam Pearce was forced to suspend Drew McIntyre following his actions at Money in the Bank post-show but reinstated him last week. However, he also appointed former World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins as the Special Guest Referee for the match at SummerSlam.
According to Ringside News, Seth Rollins, CM Punk, and Drew McIntyre will be kicking off tonight's episode of WWE RAW in St. Paul, Minnesota. The Visionary will be delivering his referee instructions to both McIntyre and Punk to kick off tonight's show.
Seth Rollins confronted Punk on a recent episode of WWE RAW and warned the former AEW star that his actions will have consequences. The Second City Saint cost McIntyre his Money in the Bank cash-in earlier this month, but the interference also cost Rollins his opportunity to recapture the World Heavyweight Championship.
