Former WWE Women's World Champion Becky Lynch recently decided not to re-sign with the company before the expiry of her previous contract. Now with several other top stars' contracts also on the verge of expiration, the Stamford-based promotion has reportedly offered new contracts to a popular SmackDown tag team, Angel Garza and Humberto.
The duo made a surprise return to the main roster, helping Santos Escobar defeat Bobby Lashley in a United States Championship Tournament match on the December 22, 2023, edition of Friday Night SmackDown. The trio later added Elektra Lopez to their faction, Legado Del Fantasma. Angel and Berto's WWE contracts are reportedly set to expire later this year.
An X (formerly Twitter) user recently asked Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful about the two superstars' contracts. Sapp responded by claiming that both Angel and Berto were offered deals by the Stamford-based company. However, there was no word if either of the two had inked a new deal with the wrestling promotion.
"They were both offered deals by WWE," he wrote.

WWE Superstar Angel makes a request to wrestling fans
Many wrestling fans touted Angel Garza as the next Eddie Guerrero, leading to obvious comparisons between the 31-year-old and the late former World Champion.
In an interview with Scott Fishman of TV Insider, the former NXT Cruiserweight Champion explained why it was wrong to make such comparisons. He urged fans to enjoy the action without getting into unnecessary comparisons.
"I don't know if I like second part of things because they always compare you. When I first made my debut, it was here comes the next Eddie [Guerrero]. There is Santos Escobar and the same thing. Stop comparing the characters and enjoy who we are. Comparing characters is fun, but Eddie was Eddie. Nobody is going to be like Eddie. I'm the first Angel. He's the first Humberto. Everyone's unique. It's a matter of doing our thing and building our path. I feel one day people will come into the company, and they'll say, 'Here's the next Humberto. Here's the next Angel,'" he said.
Angel recently tried to talk Andrade into joining Legado del Fantasma but to no avail. It remains to be seen what lies ahead for the SmackDown superstar and his faction after long-time rivals, the LWO, got drafted to the red brand recently.
