The WWE Universe has been buzzing lately over potential major plans for later this year. It appears the company is moving forward with a significant happening that will coincide with a big milestone. New details on the matter have just leaked from backstage, and the update is sure to excite fans.
It was recently revealed that WWE has been in talks to bring back the Bad Blood name for an upcoming PLE. The idea is that the event would coincide with the 27-year anniversary of the inaugural Bad Blood pay-per-view, which was headlined by the first-ever Hell In a Cell bout. The match held on October 5, 1997, saw Kane debut to help Shawn Michaels defeat The Undertaker.
WWE is moving forward with the idea as officials have been looking into potential venues for the return of Bad Blood, according to PWInsider. It was previously speculated that the company could hold the PLE on the exact anniversary as October 5 is on a Saturday this year, and word now is that this is the date they are looking to book a venue for.
Officials are said to be interested in holding Bad Blood in the Atlanta market. The State Farm Arena in Atlanta currently does not have any events scheduled for October 5, and WWE has not announced any TV tapings for that week as of now. Several creative pitches have been made for the return of Hell in a Cell, but nothing is official, and it remains to be seen who will compete in the match.
WWE has four UK dates scheduled for the week after October 5. The company will then head to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on Saturday, November 2, for the Crown Jewel PLE. The inaugural Badd Blood event was the only edition to use the extra "d," as the 2003 and 2004 events dropped the stylization.
