The road to WWE SummerSlam will continue as tonight's RAW airs live from the Resch Center in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Plans for a major main event have just leaked from backstage with just a few hours until showtime.
The Judgment Day continues to be a focal point of the red brand's storylines. Rhea Ripley has returned and seemingly reunited with Dominik Mysterio ahead of her title shot against Liv Morgan. Meanwhile, Damian Priest is preparing to defend against Gunther, while Finn Balor and JD McDonagh are approaching the one-month mark of their World Tag Team Championship reign.
Current plans for tonight's RAW main event call for Dirty Dom and The Irish Ace to take on Jey Uso and Sami Zayn, according to reports from Ringside News. This will be the first televised standard tag team bout for Mysterio and McDonagh since the SmackDown loss to New Catch Republic on February 16, earlier this year.
Mysterio is coming off a loss to Uso on last week's edition of RAW. Zayn lost last week's main event to Ilja Dragunov but retained the WWE Intercontinental Championship via DQ due to Bron Breakker's interference. JD has not wrestled since the July 8 episode, where he and Balor teamed with Carlito for a win over Braun Strowman and The Awesome Truth.
Sources earlier revealed a big segment for tonight's RAW opener. WWE has also announced the following for tonight: CM Punk returns to the show, Lyra Valkyria vs. Sonya Deville, The Final Testament vs. Xavier Woods, Akira Tozawa, and Otis.
