The Rock's appearance on WWE RAW's premiere on Netflix confused the wrestling world. Initially expected to kick off his potential WrestleMania 41 storyline with Cody Rhodes, The Final Boss instead turned babyface.

He hugged The American Nightmare following his show-opening promo, before coming out after Roman Reigns defeated Solo Sikoa to become the only Tribal Chief. The Rock put the Ula Fala on his neck, confirming that they are on the same page.

The entire ordeal seemingly confirmed that The Great One will not be having a match at WrestleMania 41, despite all the teases beforehand. The Final Boss ended his feud with Cody Rhodes on a whimper, while his return at Bad Blood may have turned out to be meaningless. But why is he pulling out of a major program for The Show of Shows?

According to multiple sources, Moana reshoots is the supposed answer. Sean Ross Sapp stated on Fightful's post-RAW review that he was told by somebody tied to WWE Creative that The Rock's presence at WrestleMania 41 was not guaranteed because of the reshoots likely being scheduled around that point.

Ibou of WrestlePurists had previously reported that the Attitude Era legend has to do Moana reshoots that were originally not planned. This leaves WWE with a potential 'Mania main event between Cody Rhodes and John Cena, with Roman Reigns vs. CM Punk also reportedly planned for the event.

Of course, while it seems like The Rock has confirmed he won't be at WrestleMania 41, he could very easily come back into the fold if he wants to. The TKO Board Member has the power to do that.
