There have been quite a few rumors surrounding WWE SmackDown this week, with the show moving to the USA Network. There are several rumors that the show will change from two hours to three hours.
More than 12 years ago, after the 1000th episode of WWE RAW, the show shifted to a three-hour format. The moment that happened, though, the feedback from fans was not positive. Fans felt that it was too long, and the fact that the booking at the time was not appreciated by them either led to a lot of negativity. In comparison, SmackDown, being two hours, was seen as a better show by them.
Now, with SmackDown shifting back to USA Network while RAW heads away, there have been rumors that the show will broadcast three-hour broadcasts regularly. However, these rumors are not true. The pictures that were circulated, like the one below, were fake.

On top of that, according to a report by Fightful Select, WWE SmackDown will remain a two-hour show. The change to three hours is not happening at this time.
RAW will eventually be shifting to Netflix at the beginning of 2025, while SmackDown will remain on the USA Network going forward. The coming weeks will show if there are any visible changes made by the network to SmackDown, as the blue-brand show is returning to the network this week after 5 years on FOX.
