WWE Superstar Seth Rollins was brutally destroyed on the latest episode of Monday Night RAW. Meanwhile, wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer recently reported the potential reason behind the attack.

On the August 5, 2024, edition of the red brand's show, BIG Bronson Reed ambushed The Visionary from behind after the latter's segment with CM Punk. The Aussie powerhouse delivered six vicious Tsunamis on Rollins, leaving The Messiah incapacitated and coughing up blood.

After being rushed to the hospital, WWE provided an unfortunate update, stating that the 38-year-old star needed a CAT scan, an endoscopy, and X-rays.

On the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer reported that Reed's attack on Seth Rollins was staged to write the former World Heavyweight Champion off television. The report also claimed that the injury angle involving Dakota Kai on RAW was also implemented for the same reason, as the Auckland star is dealing with a legitimate injury.

Meltzer also noted that while the former WWE Universal Champion was physically cleared to wrestle, he was still recovering from pre-existing injuries.

WWE Hall of Famer makes major prediction about Seth Rollins and CM Punk's rivalry

As mentioned earlier, Rollins confronted The Second City Saint on this week's RAW after the latter called out Drew McIntyre. The Visionary declared that after 10 years, he would finally get a chance to put CM Punk's face in the dirt. The two men were on the brink of a physical confrontation before the former AEW star left the ring to chase The Scottish Warrior.

Speaking on the Busted Open podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray mentioned that fans would probably have to wait till WrestleMania 41 to witness a dream match between CM Punk and Seth Rollins.

"I thought it was excellent. Okay, if somebody would have bled, yeah, but I think there's legs to this. I think there's more to go on, and I'm looking forward to it. Eventually, we're going to get to Seth and Punk, which will most likely be a WrestleMania match," Ray said.
