On WWE SmackDown this week, Nia Jax appeared on screen but was censored by FOX for multiple seconds. Now, a report has revealed the reason behind this.
When Nia Jax was making her way out to the ring on SmackDown, fans saw the screen go black for no apparent reason. The screen also stayed black for longer than they thought it would until finally, the stream returned. This was not the only time there was such an issue during the show, as several other instances saw the FOX stream appear to be censored, with the sound going mute too.
As per a report by Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, this is due to the fact that FOX has made a change where it has decided to crack down on anything that is deemed offensive. This includes fan chants and this was the reason that the audio was muted several times and the screen was blacked out as well. However, the reason that it went black during the Nia Jax segment was because a fan was on screen seen flipping her off.
With changes coming to WWE, SmackDown will be leaving FOX soon and returning to USA Network to start their new deal. It remains to be seen if USA Network also follows the same policies.

Nia Jax has started a new alliance on WWE SmackDown
Jax appears to have a new friend in WWE and it showed on last week's SmackDown episode.
The usually lone star showed up in the middle of the Triple Threat match between Candice LeRae, Jade Cargill, and Tiffany Stratton to help her friend. Stratton and she have been spotted backstage several times and Jax's distraction allowed Tiffany to get the win again, especially with Indi Hartwell also interfering.
Nia and Bianca also got into a fight in the ringside area.
