Rhea Ripley had a horrifying moment during WWE SummerSlam where her shoulder was injured. More details about the injury have now emerged.

Ripley didn't have the best time at SummerSlam, as despite going in as the heavy favorite to win the match and doing her best to get back her title, a betrayal changed everything.

Dominik Mysterio stabbed her in the back when it mattered the most and helped Morgan put her away by distracting the referee and using a steel chair. The two showed that they had planned it all soon after that, with Mysterio embracing the champion.

Rhea Ripley was left heartbroken. But that was not all that was apparently hurt during the match. At one point, it looked like her shoulder had come out of its socket, and she shouted at the referee, telling him that it had indeed been injured. She would later put it back in place by striking it against the commentary desk and returning to the match.

Now, details have emerged about the spot from Fightful Select. As it turns out, the spot with Rhea Ripley's shoulder was planned and part of the story told during the match.

Rhea Ripley's arm may be a storyline that continues on WWE RAW over the next few weeks

Ripley has only just returned from a shoulder injury. While she now has to deal with a betrayal of the heart in the form of Dominik Mysterio, she will also have to be careful about her shoulder.

After SummerSlam, even though she was able to pop it back into place, the star will have to be careful to ensure that things go well for her in her search for justice and answers.

It remains to be seen if she comes into RAW tomorrow with her arm in a sling or if WWE is done telling the story of her arm going forward.
