There has been an update on WWE Superstar Ricochet's contract status. The former WWE Speed Champion was seemingly written off television this past Monday night on RAW.
Ricochet's contract status has been a focal point of discussion in recent weeks. The former United States Champion was brutally attacked by Bron Breakker this past Monday night and taken away in an ambulance after he was powerslammed on top of a car. His real-life fiancée, ring announcer Samantha Irvin, rushed backstage following the attack and left the arena with Ricochet.
According to a new report by PW Insider, Ricochet's contract will reportedly be expiring sometime next month. It has been reported that the veteran could make one more appearance so the company could "maximize the situation."

Bron Breakker has been an issue for RAW GM Adam Pearce since he was selected in this year's draft. Pearce suspended Breakker recently but still has not been able to get the former NXT Champion under control.
Will Ospreay criticized how WWE books Ricochet
AEW International Champion Will Ospreay recently called out WWE for how Ricochet has been booked and claimed he was undervalued by the company.
Speaking to ComicBook.com in a recent interview, Ospreay praised Ricochet as a performer and took a dig at WWE for the way it has used the veteran. He said it was "appalling" to him that his former rival was only valued in short matches and added that Ricochet is the greatest high-flyer ever.
"The fact that they only value his time for under five minutes is appalling to me," Ospreay said. "I just want people to remember who he is. If you go and look at 2012-2013 Dragon Gate Ricochet, he was untouchable at the time. When it came to this generation of high-flyers, he was the greatest. He's the greatest high-flyer ever. I know it sounds weird, but I do put him on the same level as Rey Mysterio."
Ricochet joined the promotion in 2018 and has accomplished a lot so far. It will be fascinating to see if he decides to remain in the company or look for opportunities elsewhere once his contract expires.
