#2. Drake Maverick re-signed with WWE despite getting released
Former 24/7 Champion Drake Maverick reportedly re-signed with the company. Maverick was one of the multiple superstars released by WWE during budget cuts. As per PWInsider, Maverick has returned to the company in a backstage role, and will be part of the RAW creative team:
"[Drake] Maverick, real name James Curtin, is now working behind the scenes for the RAW Creative Team. We are told Curtin started 3-4 weeks ago," stated the report.
Maverick was released in 2020, but was re-signed by WWE due to fan support. He joined NXT at the time and stayed on the black & gold brand. His second main roster run didn't prove lucky for him as he was released again in 2021.
#1. More NXT vs. RAW feud is incoming
As per Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE is planning multiple feuds between NXT 2.0 and RAW stars in the future. AJ Styles was involved in a feud with NXT's Grayson Waller last month. This month, Dolph Ziggler is involved in a rivalry with Tommaso Ciampa and Bron Breakker:
In an update on this crossover from Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE reportedly wants to have at least one RAW Superstar on NXT at all times. This is an attempt to draw more RAW viewers to NXT 2.0 on Tuesday nights.
The current feud between Ziggler and NXT Champion Bron Breakker is scheduled to run up until NXT Stand & Deliver in Dallas on April 2.
