#2. Reported details of unusual re-tapes at the recent tapings
WWE has the freedom to fine-tune many aspects of its programming because of the taped format and they are making full use of the opportunity at hand.
Fightful released a few notes from the tapings in a report on Fightful Select. There were reportedly a few unusual re-shoots done at the recent tapings. The first incident involved MVP and the fact that his promo was stopped mid-way after he got the verbiage wrong. MVP referred to the audience members as NXT Superstars instead of Performance Centre recruits.
Raj Giri of WrestlingInc added that it was Kevin Dunn who 'jumped on the P.A.' and instructed MVP about his mistake.
The other reported re-tape happened while filming Otis' SmackDown match against King Corbin. The Mr. Money in the Bank had to take four brutal spinebusters as a result of the re-tapes and it was noted that the spinebuster spot wasn't even the part of the match that was messed up.
Sean Ross Sapp revealed the following in his report:
We're told that Otis ended up having to take four pretty brutal spinebusters due to re-films, and were told that wasn't even the part of the match that was messed up. There was also a re-shoot during an MVP promo, because he referred to the audience as "NXT Superstars." Someone came over the loud speaker to cut off the promo to say to only refer to the audience as "Performance Center recruits."
