WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels was reportedly a big supporter of Dijak, who is no longer associated with the Stamford-based company as his contract expired today. He was not offered a new deal, which currently makes him a free agent.
The 37-year-old star was called up to the main roster during the 2024 WWE Draft in April 2024. He was assigned to Monday Night RAW, but he never wrestled or appeared on the red brand at all after he was drafted. He did, however, compete in Main Event and Speed. He revealed on social media yesterday that his contract was set to expire on June 28, which left many people surprised.
According to a report from Corey Brennan of Fightful Select, Dijak was well-liked and praised by people within the company. He confirmed in his announcement that he was drafted to RAW before he was set to challenge for the NXT Championship. The report added that Shawn Michaels was a big supporter of Dijak’s, even though they had some disagreements about creative differences.

Booker T shared his thoughts on Dijak leaving WWE
Booker T serves as a commentator for NXT. He interacts with the roster every week and some of them have even worked for him in the past.
While speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T heaped praise on Dijak and stated that the latter won't have any problem finding work in the wrestling business.
"I got a chance to spend a lot of time with Dijak in NXT. And I tell you, you are not gonna find a harder worker than Dijak. That dude was almost indestructible... He was moved from NXT to the main roster a couple of months back, and now to find out Dijak and WWE has parted ways. I'm gonna tell you right now, Dijak is not going to have any problem finding work in this business. You're not going to have to worry about that guy as far as him having a job or anything like that," Booker T said.
Dijak is free to appear in any wrestling promotion he wants, as he is no longer signed to WWE. It will be interesting to see where he ends up next.
