Roman Reigns is finally back in WWE. He wasted little time upon returning at SummerSlam by knocking down Solo Sikoa and inadvertently assisting Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes to victory.
Tonight's episode of SmackDown will air from the BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. WWE has already announced Reigns' appearance.
The company usually kicks off the show on a high note, but fans will have to wait for Reigns' first appearance since March 22 on the blue brand until the main event of the show. According to a PWN report, The Original Tribal Chief's segment will headline SmackDown as of this writing, although plans can always change.
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
SmackDown has created significant buzz already with the SummerSlam fallout, but there is more. Aside from Roman Reigns' appearance, there were reports regarding the returns of AJ Styles and Charlotte Flair, too.
What else to look forward to on WWE SmackDown?
SummerSlam featured two major championship changes that will most definitely have an impact in the coming months on SmackDown.
Queen of the Ring Nia Jax dethroned Bayley to win her first world title since her return in September 2023 after spending a few years away, while LA Knight won his first piece of gold in World Wrestling Entertainment.
Knight took to social media earlier today, claiming that he will take things one day at a time when it comes to restoring the prestige of the United States Championship.
The Megastar won the belt from Logan Paul, who, after dropping it to the 41-year-old, discussed its association with him while conversing with The Undertaker on his podcast. Paul was champion for 279 days, although he only had three title defenses during his reign.
LA Knight will hold a US Title celebration on tonight's episode of SmackDown. As for The Megastar's first challenger, Speed Champion Andrade and Santos Escobar will wrestle to determine the new number-one contender.
Former WWE Tag Team Champions DIY will also receive an opportunity to earn another match against new champions Jacob Fatu and Tama Tonga of The Bloodline. DIY will face Pretty Deadly in another number-one contender's match.
