The WWE Draft 2024 has given the fans many surprises this year. From Bron Breakker's move to RAW to Nia Jax's impactful debut on SmackDown. The first night of the draft has delivered, and there is more to come this Monday. However, while the fans can look forward to more surprises, one former NXT Women's Tag Team Champion is still surprised by the results of the draft.
According to reports from Fightful Select, former NXT Women's Tag Team Champion, Kiana James was left genuinely surprised by her main roster call-up. James was reportedly aware that she would be one of the selections in the WWE Draft 2024 but was unaware of which brand she would end up on.
As a result, the fact that she would soon be wrestling on Monday Night RAW came as a bit of a shock.
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
James has been hailed as previously being one of the best in-ring workers on the NXT Women's roster. Now, courtesy of the WWE Draft 2024, she will be bringing that work ethic to the red brand. One thing is for sure, and that is the fans have a lot to look forward to.
That being said, the draft is far from over. There are still plenty of superstars who are anxious to find out whether they will be staying put on their current brand or finding a new home.
Roman Reigns voluntarily withdrew himself from the WWE Draft 2024
Days before the WWE Draft 2024, the company released the draft pools. Among them, was The Tribal Chief himself, Roman Reigns. Given the caliber of superstar that he is, Reigns is one talent that RAW would have loved to have had on their roster.
However, plans changed, as Paul Heyman made a huge announcement before the start of the draft. The Wiseman revealed that Reigns voluntarily withdrew himself from the draft. He pointed out that The Head of the Table had done so much to elevate SmackDown to the heights it has reached today, that he has no plans of leaving the blue brand.
An interesting turn of events to say the least, especially with all that is going on in his absence.
Reigns is undoubtedly aware of what is happening to The Bloodline. While he has been on hiatus, things have gone completely sideways, as his Tribal Heir, Solo Sikoa seems to have completed a hostile takeover.
Perhaps, assuming his family would remain on SmackDown, he made the decision beforehand not to participate in the festivities of the draft. It certainly is a precarious situation, but only time will tell how things unfold.
