Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes has been riding a massive wave of success. Recently, at Crown Jewel 2024, The American Nightmare created history after he defeated Gunther to become the first-ever Crown Jewel Champion.
Following his big win, Cody Rhodes has focused on his feud against Kevin Owens. The hostility between the former best friends escalated when Kevin Owens injured Randy Orton by delivering a banned piledriver. The Viper is reportedly sidelined for an indefinite period now.
The Stamford-based promotion will host the final PLE of the year, Survivor Series later this month. Fans and pundits have been suggesting that Cody Rhodes can either be the fifth member of OG Bloodline or face Kevin Owens in a singles match.

A recent report by 4YouWrestling has revealed unfortunate news about Cody Rhodes. The report stated that The American Nightmare will not be part of the WarGames match, and it looks like The American Nightmare might not work at Survivor Series 2024 at all.

What’s next for Cody Rhodes in WWE?
After the big win against Gunther at Crown Jewel 2024, Cody Rhodes will continue his storyline with Kevin Owens. This began when The American Nightmare teamed up with former rival Roman Reigns to face common enemies in the form of Solo Sikoa’s Bloodline. The makeshift team of Reigns and Rhodes fueled fury in Kevin Owens as he was one of the stars who had the most extended history with The Original Tribal Chief.
The Prizefighter’s breaking point came at Crown Jewel 2024 when he launched an attack on Rhodes in the parking lot after the show went off-air. Randy Orton, the common friend of both men, tried to mediate things, but Owens injured him severely, putting him out of action for an unknown period.
Rhodes and Kevin are probably going to face each other soon in a heated match. It will be interesting to see what Triple H has in store for this storyline and how far Owens will go to punish The American Nightmare for betraying him.
