Drew McIntyre hasn't been seen since his Hell in a Cell loss to CM Punk at Bad Blood last month. It seems it could be a while before the Scottish star is seen on WWE TV again.
According to a report by PWInsider, Drew McIntyre is not scheduled to be part of Crown Jewel next month. A source noted that they would be shocked to see him return before mid-November, which could mean that he also misses out on Survivor Series: WarGames.
McIntyre required 16 staples in his head following the Hell in a Cell match, and the report noted that he would have to be cleared by WWE doctors before he was allowed to step back in the ring.
Drew McIntyre ended his feud with CM Punk at WWE Bad Blood
Drew McIntyre and CM Punk have been feuding for the better part of 2024, but it seems that their rivalry is finally over after Bad Blood. Punk is expected to face Gunther at Survivor Series: WarGames. However, as of writing, there have been no plans included or speculated for the former WWE Champion.
It could be that WWE is waiting for him to be cleared to add him to any potential feuds as part of Survivor Series: WarGames, but that doesn't seem like a good update for McIntyre after he has been pushed as one of the company's main faces throughout the year.
Following the show, it was noted that McIntyre's injury wasn't work or a planned spot, but it seems to add to the overall effect of the match. CM Punk has been filming a new movie called Night Patrol while feuding with the Scotsman and isn't expected to miss any TV time for the project since it is now in post-production.
