There has been an update as to why Shinsuke Nakamura has not been featured on WWE television in recent weeks. The King of Strong Style is currently on SmackDown's roster.
Shinsuke Nakamura has not wrestled a match on TV since his loss to Sheamus on the April 22 episode of WWE RAW. He has been competing against Cody Rhodes at live events but has not been featured on the blue brand in recent weeks.
According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, Nakamura is not being used on television because the company may not have any plans for him at the moment.
"People try to say that Triple H and Tony Khan are opposites booking, they’re a lot more similar than people think. There’s people and sometimes they’re just not on TV, because they don’t got any ideas for them right now, and Nakamura I think he’s probably fine getting that big pay check and surfing and doing jiu-jitsu," said Meltzer. Former WWE star shares Shinsuke Nakamura called him a genius
AJ "Top Dolla" Francis recently shared a time when Shinsuke Nakamura referred to him as a genius.
Speaking with Sportskeeda Wrestling's Riju Dasgupta in an exclusive interview, Top Dolla discussed a time when he and Nakamura were drinking at a bar.
He stated that Nakamura called him a genius for his raps, and Dolla responded by saying the veteran was great in the ring.
"Me and Shinsuke and Tehuti, Ashante Thee Adonis, we were drinking on a European tour in a bar, and Shinsuke comes up to me and he says, 'What you do with words, you're a genius,' and I said, 'Thank you, man, but that's how I feel about your wrestling.'" [1:29 – 1:55]
