Becky Lynch is in the final days of her current WWE contract. While the former Women's World Champion's future is undecided, a new report has shed light on what could be in the store for her.
It has been reported that The Man's current contract with the Stamford-based promotion expires this weekend. The two parties have yet to agree on a new deal. Despite the uncertainties, Lynch challenged Liv Morgan for the Women's World Title in a Steel Cage Match on RAW last night. Once again, an interference from Dominik Mysterio led to Becky's loss as The Judgment Day member accidentally slammed the cage door in her face.
With Becky Lynch losing her last match, many have wondered if the 37-year-old was on her way out of the company. However, PWTorch has reported that WWE Universe has nothing to worry about as the company is confident of renewing the star. The Man is expected to take a brief hiatus before eventually marking her return at a later date.
The former world champion also subtly indicated her return to the Sports Entertainment juggernaut with a cryptic post following her defeat on RAW last night.
''To be continued!'' wrote Becky Lynch on X.
WWE veteran slammed Becky Lynch for her action on RAW
During a recent edition of Sportskeeda Wrestling's Legion of RAW, former WWE writer Vince Russo criticized The Man for her blatant negligence, as she was captured on camera talking to Liv Morgan during the Steel Cage Match, thus breaking kayfabe.
''There’s an overhead shot. The overhead shot looks cool; the two women are doubled down on the mat, and as clear as day, Becky [Lynch] is talking to Liv [Morgan]. Guys, you got to be better than that! First of all, the way you shoot it; secondly, Becky, at least cover your mouth and talk into your arm! They were blatantly talking to each other. Come on guys, at this level, I should not be seeing that as a viewer," Russo said.
WWE has recently renewed the contracts of several stars, including Drew McIntyre and Finn Balor. The company would be hoping to reach an agreement with Becky Lynch soon, as she is one of the greatest female wrestlers of all time.
