There has been an update regarding Jade Cargill's status amid her WWE hiatus. The former AEW star has not appeared on WWE television since she was brutally attacked on the November 22 edition of SmackDown.
Cargill has been off WWE television for over a month and Naomi has replaced her in the tag team with Bianca Belair. The EST and Naomi successfully defended the Women's Tag Team Championships against Nia Jax and Candice LeRae on the December 13 edition of SmackDown. According to a new report from PW Insider, Jade Cargill is currently enjoying a vacation with her family in Hawaii during the holidays.
Bianca Belair competed in the Women's United States Championship tournament but eliminated herself to go check on Cargill following the attack last month. Chelsea Green then capitalized on the distraction to advance in the tournament and went on to defeat Mia Yim at Saturday Night's Main Event to become the inaugural Women's United States Champion.
A top AEW star just called one of his colleagues 'spoiled' and 'narcissistic' HERE.
Former WWE manager claims nobody cares who attacked Jade Cargill
Wrestling legend Dutch Mantell recently claimed that nobody cares who attacked Jade Cargill due to how the company has booked the storyline on SmackDown.
Speaking on the latest episode of Sportskeeda Wrestling's Smack Talk show, Mantell noted that it had been weeks since Cargill was attacked and fans had lost interest. He added that he was in favor of dragging out storylines but felt like fans were no longer interested in finding out who was responsible.
"I think at this time, nobody gives a cr*p who attacked her. I think they said, 'Who did it? Okay, nobody? Let's go.' I don't see them rioting at Titan Towers about who attacked her. Nobody gives a cr*p. It's been five weeks right or four weeks? Five weeks, nobody cares. I'm a believer in dragging stuff out, but by God, go and do it if you're really gonna do it. Is she hurt?" Jade Cargill was the TBS Champion in All Elite Wrestling for 508 days but has never won a singles title during her time in WWE. Only time will tell what the company has planned for the 32-year-old when she makes her return to SmackDown.
