The term 'new era' has been done to death, but as WWE headed by Triple H marches into a new year, it could truly be the dawn of a new era. RAW will become exclusive to Netflix in 2025, as the Stamford-based promotion has made a whopping five billion-dollar deal with the streaming giant for the next decade. Meanwhile, the West Australian has reported that they hope to bring another show to Perth next year.
Elimination Chamber: Perth in February 2024 was a major success for the Stamford-based promotion. The show was headlined by the then Women's World Champion Rhea Ripley defending against Nia Jax. The home country hero, Ripley was clearly a hit that night.
The West Australian report notes that the government is "tight-lipped" about the discussions, but is very keen on bringing a show back to Australia, specifically Perth. Nevertheless, Australian Tourism Minister, Rita Saffioti was quoted on the matter.
"We’re constantly pursuing these types of unique and exclusive events that attract visitors to our beautiful State, particularly ones that we know are incredibly popular like UFC and WWE," Saffioti said.

This year's premium live event in Perth was also notable for affecting the WrestleMania XL match card, as Becky Lynch and Drew McIntyre won their respective Elimination Chamber Matches.
Rhea Ripley opens up about people asking her to get a "real job" before WWE
Rhea Ripley was obviously ecstatic about flying to Australia on the Road To WrestleMania XL. At the time she was in the midst of a very dominant reign as the Women's World Champion.
Speaking to Cathy Kelley on WWE's The Bump, Ripley noted how school teachers would laugh at her when she told them about her aspirations to get into the wrestling business. She was also advised to get a "real job" and would often get demoralized.
"Even just having the plan that I did to try and dedicate my craft and make it to WWE, I had people all the time like, 'You should find a real job, and study, you should do something else, you're never gonna make it, it's never gonna happen, it's a silly dream, you have to be more realistic about your life,' and the one thing I have to say about that is, where are you guys?" she said.
Unfortunately for Ripley, she was forced to relinquish the Women's World Championship after suffering a shoulder injury in April. Her reign ended at 380 days.
