CM Punk had a very dramatic and controversial exit from WWE in 2014 after years of frustration. After his departure, a defamation lawsuit was filed against him by the company's senior ringside physician, Dr. Chris Amann.

During a podcast with his former friend Colt Cabana, the Second City Saint claimed that the physician had misdiagnosed and improperly treated an MRSA staph infection and neglected a cyst on his back. Amann sued the two wrestlers in February 2015, claiming that they damaged his reputation. Punk and Cabana won the case in 2018.

According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, Dr. Chris Amann is still employed by WWE. Sapp stated that he had not heard of any interactions between the latter and CM Punk. He added that if WWE had fired the physician after the RAW Superstar returned, it would have led to a lawsuit and caused more drama. Dr. Amann was on SmackDown two weeks ago when AJ Styles got injured.

WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray wanted CM Punk to face Seth Rollins on the RAW after Survivor Series 2023

CM Punk made a shocking return to WWE at the Survivor Series: WarGames 2023 Premium Live Event, and while many people were happy to see him, Seth Rollins was not. The Visionary threw a fit and flipped the bird at the RAW Superstar.

While speaking on the Busted Open Radio podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray said Punk should have competed against Rollins right after the Survivor Series: WarGames 2023 Premium Live Event because of how intense it was.

"One half of the booker in me would have put Seth Rollins and CM Punk in a ring the very next night in a match because you had that, you caught it, you caught that lightning in a bottle. It was right there. But, things have kind of died out over the past couple of months, or almost a year now," Bully Ray said.

Rollins vs. Punk is still a match that many fans want to see. It will probably take place at WrestleMania 41.
