WWE is now under 100 days away from WrestleMania 41. Officials and the creative writing team are working hard on potential plans for all the top superstars. The Showcase of the Immortals has hosted several battles between tag team partners and real-life brothers. Sources have just revealed major details on a blockbuster feud set to kick off soon with championship implications.
Jade Cargill linked up with Bianca Belair not long after debuting in the 2024 Royal Rumble. After teaming with Naomi for a win over Damage CTRL at WrestleMania XL, Jade and Bianca dethroned The Kabuki Warriors of the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship weeks later, then dropped them to The Unholy Union at 42 days. They regained the titles just under three months later, and this current reign is at four months and two weeks. However, Cargill suffered a storyline injury in November, and Belair chose Naomi to be her new partner on December 20.
WWE's self-proclaimed Unicorn of Pro Wrestling is now expected to return to the ring in the near future. PWInsider adds that Cargill is training at the Performance Center in Orlando today and has been working in the ring. This is the second straight week Jade has been at the facility, as she spent most of last week training as well.
Cargill's ongoing stint at the Performance Center is believed to be part of the prep for a big return during WrestleMania 41 Season. A long-running practice sees WWE send talents to the Performance Center to spend some time training before they return from injuries.
Cargill's mystery attacker is set to be decided on soon. WWE will continue the storyline to bring Jade back, and while it's not clear who will be the superstar that attacked Cargill backstage, word is that the creative team has two different pitches for who will be behind the reveal.
Big Money Jade vs. The EST is rumored for WrestleMania 41, and plans will be evident with how they bring Cargill back. One idea behind the mysterious attack is that the angle allowed officials to change the Women's Tag Team Championship without either superstar taking a loss. The creative direction also keeps Jade and Bianca strong as the team irons out their plans for WrestleMania Vegas and sets them up on The Grandest Stage of Them All for a potential singles bout.
WWE still recognizes the current Women's Tag Team Championship run as one single uninterrupted reign. The company website acknowledges Naomi's path, but the former TNA champion is listed next to Belair, not the former AEW champion.
Update on Jade Cargill WWE injury claims
Jade Cargill has been away from the storylines since suffering a mysterious backstage attack during SmackDown on November 22. The injury angle led to Jade being pulled from Women's WarGames at Survivor Series.
Officials, sources, and Jade herself have put effort into claiming the 32-year-old is legitimately injured, but that is not the case, according to PWInsider. The inaugural AEW TBS Champion has spent the past few weeks working on non-WWE entertainment projects and vacationing internationally.
Cargill has not wrestled since the November 11 edition of RAW. She and Bianca Belair defended the Women's Tag Team Championship that night, retaining over Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez.
