WWE has seemingly ramped up its premium live event offerings in recent years, with more marquee events, larger venues, and new international locations, among other improvements. Future SummerSlam plans have reportedly been revealed, and one significant change could lead to a massive overhaul of the schedule.

World Wrestling Entertainment has made two SummerSlam PLE announcements in recent months. The first-ever two-night SummerSlam was announced for August 1 and 2, 2026, at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota. WWE also inked a big deal with Indiana Sports Corp that will see Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis host a future SummerSlam, a future WrestleMania, and the 2025 Royal Rumble on February 1.

WWE officials favor the Saturday PLE shows. However, SummerSlam's two-night event in 2026 is likely the start of a new tradition, according to Fightful Select. The Triple H-led company has not confirmed the 2025 SummerSlam location and dates yet, but they may begin the two-night tradition for The Biggest Event of the Summer before Minneapolis.

A major change for the Royal Rumble is also a possibility in the near future. A backstage source noted that plans for a two-night Rumble PLE are not currently in place, but the annual event is set up to easily run two nights, with one Rumble Match on Night One and the other on Night Two.

While WWE settled for late April for WrestleMania 41 in 2025, they did consider a May date for The Grandest Stage of Them All. The 2025 Royal Rumble has been announced for February 1, but that does not mean the annual event has been moved out of January permanently. Officials have long discussed holding The Rumble in February before now.

WWE confirms future PLE dates

World Wrestling Entertainment is now preparing for Money in the Bank and SummerSlam 2024 after wrapping up the mid-point of this year. There are currently 10 dates confirmed for future Premium Live Events.
