A reason for a WWE Superstar being removed from the active roster today has potentially been revealed. The star in question has only competed in two matches on RAW since being selected by the red brand in the WWE Draft earlier this year.
Kiana James defeated Natalya in her debut match on the main roster on the June 3 edition of RAW. She also competed in a Money in the Bank Qualifying match on June 17 won by Damage CTRL's IYO SKY. Earlier today, it was reported that the 27-year-old was removed from the company's active roster.
According to a new report by Mike Johnson of PW Insider, James was removed from the active roster due to a significant leg injury. The report noted that the RAW star is expected to be sidelined for up to six months.

Natalya has not competed in a match on RAW since her loss to James. However, a recent report suggests that the veteran will be returning to action soon.
Former WWE writer claims Natalya was wasted trying to get Kiana James over
Wrestling legend Vince Russo did not enjoy Kiana James' victory over Natalya earlier this year and claimed the former champion was being wasted on the red brand.
Speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling's Legion of RAW show earlier this year, Russo questioned the company's decision to have Natalya lose to Kiana James in her debut match on the main roster. The veteran predicted that James would disappear from WWE television following the victory.
"Here's the problem. If you're gonna use Natalya to get Kiana James over, that's good if you're actually gonna get Kiana James over. But she's not getting over because she's beating Natalya. Mark my words right now, you're not gonna see Kiana James in another three weeks. Meanwhile, Natalya did the job trying to put her over, you're not gonna see her in another three weeks." James signed with the company in 2022 and is a former NXT Tag Team Champion alongside Fallon Henley. It will be interesting to see what the future holds for the young star on WWE television when she returns from injury down the line.
