A recent report suggested that a popular WWE star will continue to feature on Monday Night RAW. There had been rumors claiming his potential exit from the company in the coming weeks.
Pat McAfee recently signed a new deal to appear on ESPN College Game Day. Last year, he had stepped away from WWE announcing duties to accommodate the same project. In the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that McAfee might temporarily leave the Stamford-based company upon the commencement of the new football season.
However, according to a recent report from Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, Pat McAfee's commitments to ESPN College GameDay will not affect the latter's commentary duties on RAW. The 37-year-old's schedule for College GameDay will include preparation on Fridays and activities on Saturdays, allowing him to appear on the red brand's show on Mondays.
“I’ve been told as of now nothing is changing. His obligations will be likely prepping on Friday and doing the stuff on Saturday, but then Monday he is still able to travel in and do the show,” Sapp stated. [H/T: Ringside News]

Wrestling veteran claims he is impressed by WWE star Pat McAfee
Pat McAfee started his journey as a main roster commentator alongside Michael Cole on SmackDown in April 2021. The former NFL player has managed to gel well with The Voice of WWE, and the duo call the action on Monday Night RAW presently.
While speaking on his Grilling JR podcast earlier this year, Jim Ross mentioned he was impressed with McAfee's work. The veteran praised the latter for working on his craft, referring to him as a supreme talent who has been a good hire for the global juggernaut.
"I'm impressed. Pat McAfee has impressed me, no doubt about it, with his work. Surprising how good he is already. He pays attention, he studies. I even noticed on the show that airs on ESPN, at noon Eastern time that he incorporates a lot of wrestling jargon, and language, into his show. So, he's living the dream. And he seems to be respectful. Again, I appreciate guys that study the game and have product knowledge. And he's doing that. Good hire for WWE. He's just a supreme talent," Ross said.
