WWE has collaborated with several big players to give its fanbase the best pro wrestling experience. The Stamford-based promotion faces regular ups and downs when finalizing these deals. According to recent reports, the company will need a special agreement to enable several superstars to make a unique appearance.

The WWE 2K24 video game has been very well received by the fans. 2K Games is releasing additional DLC packages and adding more superstars to its roster. Interestingly, the company’s recent collaboration with TNA has also allowed fans to be entertained by several IMPACT superstars.

According to a report by Fightful Select, the company can’t feature these stars in its video game. Moreover, it must secure a special agreement to have TNA stars in its game’s 2025 installment. The report said that since both promotions are independent contractors, it won’t be legal for WWE to feature IMPACT stars without a special agreement with TNA or 2K Games.

WWE and TNA’s collaboration to receive new audience

The collaboration between TNA and WWE’s NXT brand has received a huge and positive response from fans. This has enabled both promotions to go for main event matches at premium live events, like No Mercy’s clash between Joe Hendry and Ethan Page for the NXT Championship.

With NXT moving to the CW Network starting October 1, 2024, the joint ventures of both promotions will receive a new audience. Moreover, CM Punk will decide what happens in the first episode of the network change to give the show a big boost.

While fans can enjoy the new episodes on CW Network, the regular episodes on Peacock will be delisted following the network change. However, PLEs will still be available on Peacock, enabling fans to jump into matches like Jordynne Grace versus Roxanne Perez and Ethan Page versus Joe Hendry till February 2026.

It would be interesting to see which new matches both promotions introduce and whether fans will get to wrestle as TNA stars in the 2K25 installment.
