WWE Rumors: Up to 15 different WWE employees back Justin Roberts' claim of bullying by JBL

JBL could be in some hot water soon

What’s the story?

Dave Meltzer from the Wrestling Observer has stated that at least 15 current and past WWE employees have told him that they were the subject of bullying from John Bradshaw Layfield (JBL).

Reddit user “RamonesRazor” posted this information recently citing the source as Dave’s own account on the Wrestling Observer message boards.

In case you didn’t know...

The spark that started the subject of JBL’s bullying was from former WWE ring announcer Justin Roberts’ new book “Best Seat in the House: Your Backstage Pass through my WWE Journey”.

Within the book, Roberts would state:

“JBL would throw my bags down the street… he typically referred to me as dips**t and numbnuts despite my always trying to do a great job… every day I saw him, he asked me why I was still alive and told me to go kill myself.”

The heart of the matter...

With the mysterious absence of Smackdown LIVE play-by-play announcer Mauro Ranallo, you have to wonder if there is a correlation. It was previously reported that Mauro removed all WWE mentions from his Twitter bio not too long ago.

JBL also recently responded in regards to the allegations that Justin Roberts put in his book with the following tweet:

JBL hasn’t faced any repercussions as a result of his alleged actions as of yet.

What’s next?

It appears that this story is gaining more and more steam every day. Some compare this to the Bill DeMott situation, and he was let go of the company.

Only time will tell if the actions (if proven true) lead to JBL’s release from the WWE.

Author’s take...

Justin Roberts had zero reasons to make anything up in his book, especially when it regards to being bullied by someone.

Now, over a dozen people have told Dave Meltzer that this is true as well. If this is a direct result of the departure of Mauro Ranallo, then JBL should be suspended from the WWE immediately.

Also, if it is true that he has bullied dozens of people who were afraid to speak up publicly in the past, it only makes sense for the WWE to take some strict disciplinary actions against him.
