Shawn Merriman to the WWE?

Rumour is that the WWE is going to signing NFL player, Shawn Merriman.

Shawn appeared at WWE’s Wrestlemania pre-show match last weekend and in November, 2013 at WWE’s Performance Center but wasn’t offered a contract at that time.

Yahoo, citing Wrestlechat.net, said “the plan is for Merriman to be an announcer while he trains to be a wrestler, then make the transition to the ring when he’s ready.”
