Chris Jericho is having a dream run in WWE right now. The latest tweak to his heel character has done wonders and is making waves across the WWE universe by leaps and bounds.
But surprisingly enough, Cagesideseats has revealed that Chris Jericho is not scheduled to work WrestleMania 33.
Soon after the WWE Draft, Chris Jericho had struck an unlikely friendship with WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens. We have also noted that WWE are rumoured to be working on a program between Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho after their split and it will likely be the last program for Chris Jericho before he goes on a hiatus to finish his commitments with Fozzy.
WrestleMania 33 would have been the right platform for such a program to culminate.

However, as per the Cagesideseats report, Jericho is not scheduled to work WrestleMania 33, making it hard for the program to culminate there. Cagesideseats also reports that if Chris Jericho’s current run gathers more steam among the audience then WWE will likely look into making Chris Jericho work at WrestleMania 33.
The two heels Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens are undoubtedly two of the best talkers in the industry and having them appear on the grandest stage of them all will surely generate a lot of buzz heading into WrestleMania 33.
Though nothing is certain about Chris Jericho’s status as of now, we can expect WWE to pull all strings to make Y2J appear in WrestleMania 33 if his current run gets hotter in the upcoming months. Let’s hope that we get to see Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens clash at WrestleMania 33.
