This week, the WWE Universe was treated to an appearance by wrestling legend Rob Van Dam, popularly known as RVD. The former six-time Intercontinental Champion made an appearance on NXT, which took place at the iconic 2300 Arena, the former hunting ground of ECW.
While wrestling fans were delighted to see the legend make an appearance on WWE programming, there is a chance he could return for a final match in the Stamford-based promotion during the WrestleMania 41 weekend. At Stand & Deliver, RVD could face Wes Lee.
This match could take place because of two reasons. During Rob Van Dam's appearance on NXT, he was attacked by Lee. However, the 53-year-old was able to take revenge as he distracted the youngster during his match with Je'Von Evans, which enabled the latter to register a win.
Corey Graves deleted his Tweet! More details HERE.
After the event, a fan on social media expressed their desire to watch RVD wrestle a match. The legend replied to this post by saying he wished the same and mentioned he would be back. Hence, it won't be surprising to see him face someone like Wes Lee at Stand & Deliver to end his career with a final match.
RVD had recently spoken about his experience of sharing the screen with a WWE legend's daughter
Before RVD could appear at NXT 2300, he appeared on last week's episode of the black-and-silver brand. During his appearance on the show, the wrestling legend shared screen space with WWE legend The Rock's daughter Ava, who is also the General Manager of the developmental brand.
After the episode ended, RVD spoke on his 1 of a Kind with RVD podcast, in which the WWE Hall of Famer was asked about his experience and interaction with Ava. Van Dam labeled her as "cool" and mentioned he met a lot of other superstars who were also "cool."
"She was cool. Everybody was cool. I was just kind of like an extra, popping in and being me, and they were all there, learning and doing. [...] I met everybody, [and] everyone was super cool. They all came up and go, 'Hi, I'm Veronica. Good to meet you," he said.

Since RVD has made two consecutive appearances on NXT, it will be interesting to see if he continues the recent trend on WWE programming. While watching someone like Van Dam could be highly entertaining, sharing the ring with a legend like him is also a beneficial experience for many NXT Superstars.
