Ryback Speaks about his injuries, comparison to Goldberg

Ryback talked recently about his previous name Skip Sheffield, and his injury layoff:

“I feel that it had to happen to me for me to be able to do what I’m doing right now. I felt I was ready back then, but again, I had a dopy and stupid name. I wasn’t necessarily the focus of attention in that group. I wasn’t supposed to be by design anyways. It was good to get me away for a while. It was a lot longer than I think any of us expected.”

He also talked about the comparisons that have been made in recent times between him and former WWE star Goldberg:

“There are a lot of people that are very loyal to Bill Goldberg and rightfully so. It’s only fair that people are going to make comparisons to new talent that may come up. Not necessarily that I was a brand new talent, but people are going to make comparisons. It’s just one of those things. I know that I’m a lot different than him. I’m a different character and different in a lot of ways. It took time for people to see that.”
