Samantha Irvin's shock WWE departure has fans speculating that she may be headed to AEW. The popular ring announcer confirmed her exit from the Stamford-based promotion with a farewell statement on her social media accounts.
It's fair to say all hell broke loose, especially after Ricochet, Irvin's fiance, posted a cheeky picture of them kissing. Some fans hit out at the AEW star's trolling, but he informed them on his X (fka Twitter) account that his other half wasn't swapping promotions.
"Haha, she's not coming to AEW. You can all rest easy," he wrote.

If that's the case, one would expect Irvin to explore opportunities outside of pro wrestling. The 35-year-old was a singer before joining WWE, and her X account has changed with a bio that now reads 'ARTIST.'
Irvin earned plaudits for her ring announcing and for making characters stand out with her unique voice. Chelsea Green, Logan Paul, and RAW General Manager Adam Pearce expressed their regret at seeing her depart.
Irvin will need to be replaced and legendary former announcer for the company Lilian Garcia is present on RAW tonight (October 22). She could be the immediate replacement and has years of experience in the role.
Samantha Irvin spent three years with the company and enjoyed a meteoric rise, heralded just as much as in-ring talent. She grew up a pro wrestling fan and was introduced to the Stamford-based promotion by WWE Hall of Famer. Mark Henry.
The musician from Massachusetts met Ricochet during their time together in WWE. They got engaged last year, and it will be interesting to see how the former's career flourishes after her exit from the global juggernaut. Talent is reportedly shocked at the news backstage on RAW.
"Raising the bar" - AEW's Justin Roberts praised Samantha Irvin before her WWE exit
If Samantha Irvin were to swap WWE for AEW, she would likely share ring-announcing duties with Justin Roberts. The 44-year-old has been with Tony Khan's promotion since its formation five years ago.
Roberts gave Irvin a glowing verdict with a post on his Facebook account last week. He also emphasized all the work that goes into ring announcing:
"Ring announcing can be more than just saying names, [Samantha Irvin] is raising the bar out there," he wrote
Justin Roberts previously worked in WWE and was an announcer on RAW and SmackDown. He left in 2014 after 12 years and worked in the indies before AEW's formation in 2019. The Chicago-born announcer is held in high regard, similar to Irvin. Both have unique voices that resonate with pro wrestling fans.
