Since winning the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 40, Sami Zayn's run has been constantly challenged by Chad Gable. However, after Gable lost to Zayn at Clash at the Castle: Scotland, it seems like The Alpha Academy leader won't be in the running for another shot at the title anytime soon.
However, this does not mean Zayn is safe from threats. In fact, based on recent developments on RAW, it seems like the Canadian superstar will defend his Intercontinental Championship against a 12-time champion in WWE, Sheamus.
On this week's episode of RAW, Bron Breakker and Sheamus declared their interest in facing Sami Zayn for the Intercontinental Championship. Hence, a match between Breakker and Sheamus was booked, with the winner receiving a title shot against the 39-year-old champion.

While Breakker looked in control during the match and it seemed like he would win, Ludwig Kaiser interfered and attacked Sheamus. This led to the Irish superstar winning by disqualification. Hence, based on the win Sheamus had on RAW, it won't be surprising to see him challenge Zayn for his title.
Sami Zayn recently confirmed whether he was attacked by The Wyatt Sicks or no
The latest episode of Monday Night RAW ended in carnage as Uncle Howdy showed up with The Wyatt Sicks and took out a bunch of talent and production team members backstage. While the faces of the individuals could not be identified, the only face that came to light was Chad Gable's.
Recently, Sami Zayn spoke about whether he fell victim to the attack by the sinister faction or not. During an interview with Sportsnet, the Intercontinental Champion said that he left the arena immediately after he was done and confirmed he was not present during the attack by The Wyatt Sicks.
"Yeah, so, I actually didn’t even know that happened because I left the arena right after my thing was done. So, maybe five or ten minutes before all that stuff happened on Monday Night Raw, I had no idea and I left the arena and I didn’t look at the results of what happened or anything. Then, I get to my hotel and I tweet out the presale code for my comedy show and all of the replies from the fans are like, ‘Your co-workers have been killed, what are you doing tweeting out the comedy show?'" said Zayn.
Even though Sami Zayn was not attacked by The Wyatt Sicks on RAW, based on their intentions, one never knows how long will Zayn be safe from them. It will be interesting to see if the faction targets him in the coming weeks on RAW.
