Sami Zayn has a massive match ahead of him at WWE Money in the Bank 2024. The Underdog From The Underground will return to Toronto and defend his coveted Intercontinental Championship against Bron Breakker.
This will be a major test for Sami. While he obviously has years of experience to his advantage, Breakker has power, speed, and explosiveness that is hard to combat. To make matters worse, Sami may have to keep an eye out for somebody else: Johnny Knoxville.
Sami and Knoxville had an infamous rivalry two years ago that led to the two men clashing at WrestleMania in one of WWE's most memorable matches. However, their issues remain to this day, and Johnny could attempt to cost Zayn the win at Money in the Bank.
The actor has repeatedly trolled Sami Zayn even after their WWE program ended. Beyond that, he has appeared during both of Sami's comedy specials and caused trouble, including one in Toronto just this week. That means an appearance at Money in the Bank isn't out of the question.
While Johnny Knoxville could interfere in the match, it feels unlikely. Sami Zayn is a babyface champion and is no longer treated like a comedic character. As a result, the two feuding again on television is extremely unlikely.
Sami Zayn has other stars to watch out for at WWE Money in the Bank
Even if Johnny Knoxville doesn't interfere in the Intercontinental Championship match at WWE Money in the Bank, Sami Zayn has other stars to keep an eye out for. In fact, both men do.
The most obvious person for both stars to avoid is Ludwig Kaiser. While he is battling a rib injury, Ludwig is known for his sneak attacks and subsequent brutal assaults. He has had issues with both men in the past too, which makes interference all the more likely.
Additionally, Sheamus could find a way to be involved in the bout. He and Bron Breakker have had issues on WWE television. Not only that, but The Celtic Warrior has made it clear he wants to be the one to take the Intercontinental Championship from Sami Zayn.
The final star Sami Zayn should watch out for is Chad Gable. The former Olympian tried and failed to defeat Sami on several occasions, but he's made it clear that his goal remains winning the Intercontinental Title.
In fact, Chad is in the Men's Money in the Bank Ladder Match. If this bout is on before the Intercontinental Title match, there's a chance Chad could cash in and add himself to the bout.
